What a great blog! I just stumbled across it. It’s empowering- especially -this post. But I do think one key element to add to your great list is - negotiations. I'm a 12 year veteran in communications- but its negotiations where I sucked badly. And I had no idea until I read a book on it. Being afraid to negotiate – actually affected my wallet more than having the greatest PR plan, or communications campaign. I had no idea how bad I sucked at it until I read a book on it. The book the Wealthy Wilmas are reading right night now is "Ask For It"- a book on negotiations for women. And now I know that negotiating is a game/an art. It’s a game that everyone knew how to play except me. Not anymore. I’m on to them! Did you know you’re even allowed to bluff when negotiating! Who knew?! I'm not afraid to 'ask for it' any more (okay, maybe a little...but I'm working on it). It’s not show - friends…its show business; women sometimes lose sight- especially if they’ve befriended their boss. But its even applicable to get your husband to do the laundry;)
