UniversalCareers.org seeks donations of medical equipment

November 25, 2010 By WOB

PRESS RELEASE

Today’s schools know how important it is to stay current. Nowhere is this more important than in the field of Emergency Medical Services.

Universal Careers, a leader in the training and placement of EMT/paramedics, is seeking donations of medical equipment for its training programs at its Fredericksburg, Va., facility.

The school, which opened in 2005, strives to meet the needs of students and the public those graduates serve. As part of their quality training, UC students learn hands-on with medical equipment in both classroom and real-life situations.

“The classes are really intense, and the best part is being able to handle the equipment,” said UC student James Willis. “It’s one thing to be in a classroom and read about how something works, it’s something else to actually hold those machines in your hand.”

Students get a familiarity with diagnostic and lifesaving equipment and take those experiences into hospitals and emergency rooms, shadowing professionals during the 14 day intensive course.

For more information about donating equipment to Universal Careers, please contact their customer service at (213) 290-4682. The equipment should be in good working condition.

Individuals wishing to start in the growing EMS field can contact Universal Careers admission representatives at (213) 290-4682 or visit the web site at www.universalcareers.org for more information.
