Why You Should Hire an Inspirational Speaker to Host a Conference

Brought to you by Special Guest:

Conferences come in a wide variety of formats, topics, and sizes. From small academic symposiums to enormous comic conventions, there is no limit to the content or type of guest that one can imagine at one event or another.

Some events on the small to medium-large scale that focus on topics ranging from business strategies to personal development and enrichment sometimes employ inspirational and motivational speakers to host their conferences. Why? Here are the big reasons.

1.  They Create Buzz

Big names in self-help, self-development, and motivational speaking tend to draw big crowds, so an announcement that a particular figure is going to host a conference would create a level of buzz that could skyrocket ticket sales and conference memberships.

Existing in a particular area of celebrity-status, inspirational and motivational speakers have the ability to draw their own fans and those who are curious to experience the words of a noted figure in-person.

Buzz is everything when it comes to marketing, and hiring a celebrity speaker is the ultimate way to create buzz.

2.  They Inspire People

This one is a no-brainer, since ‘inspire’ is the root of the word inspiration. However, it’s worth really delving into the understanding of the power of these kinds of speakers in particular.

Experienced and celebrated motivational and inspirational speakers have an innate ability to awaken a mysterious inner fire in people that they feel they had suppressed. The power of words, charisma, and delivery serve as a beacon of hope – that life can evolve beyond the limits of the present and into the endless possibilities of the future.

People walk away from hearing an inspirational speaker wanting to renew their goals, achieve their dreams, awaken their inner creativity, and reconnect with their communities. The chance to experience that will draw people from far and wide to attend a conference of any size.

3.  The Experience is Rewarding

Much of what is mentioned above equates to this. The experience of listening to inspirational and motivational speakers is profoundly rewarding, and not only when it comes to the pursuit of productivity and work or personal goals. They also have the ability to give a boost to those experiencing deficits in mental health.

While one should be aware that no event is universally experienced and they certainly shouldn’t rely on listening to a conference host as a sole means of mental health treatment, it has been observed, and scientifically quantified, that the experience of an inspirational pep-talk can boost morale and invigorate the mind at the neurochemical level.

While this is something that certainly won’t last, it can be enough for many to give themselves the kick in the butt they need to start building a better future.

Hosting duties can vary at a conference, so only you know what kind of speaker would be appropriate. Maybe you just need someone to introduce panelists and an award ceremony. Maybe you want something more than that. By considering inspirational speakers, like the great William Hung for example, you are offering a unique and unforgettable experience to your attendees.
