How Women Entrepreneurs Can Implement Innovative Marketing Strategies to Boost Their Business

There have never been more women entrepreneurs in the United States than at any point in history. Over the past two decades, the number of women who run businesses has increased by almost 120%. With such growth comes greater competition, and women entrepreneurs need to do whatever it takes to stand out in the crowd.

There are many innovative and modern ways for brands to reach customers who are more motivated to buy their product. Here are some marketing strategies that you can leverage to boost your business.

Be Authentic

In the past, brands were brands. They were logos and catchphrases, and consumers didn’t interact with them much beyond seeing their commercials and hearing their ads. However, with social media, brands are able to show off the personalities behind the logos.

Women can thrive in this medium. By being authentic to yourself and as your brand, you will connect with customers and be more engaging. They will appreciate that there is a real person behind your brand and trust you more as a result of it.

Your social media is a great place to start. Give it your personality. Post as if you were posting with friends and family as opposed to faceless customers. If your personality shines through, your customers will respond.

SMS Marketing

You, like seemingly everyone else in the world, probably use text messages every single day. What you might not realize is that SMS texting is an incredibly powerful marketing tool that is drastically underused. By taking advantage of this technology, you could give yourself a leg up on the competition.

Text messages draw attention, and they are very likely to be opened and read. The same cannot be said for emails or other direct marketing methods. There are cloud software solutions that will allow you to send an email and have it received as an SMS, meaning that sending out messages in bulk is a snap.

Customer Experience

It’s so easy now for customers to make purchases from the comfort of their own homes. With so much convenience available, it’s important to provide an exceptional experience to keep customers coming back for more.

If you run a brick and mortar business, this might mean having conveniences and amenities right at your establishment. Offer coffee,  snacks, or even tablets if there is waiting involved, for example. By providing extra value to your customers and providing them with an experience they enjoy, they will be more likely to shop with you in the future.

This could also include offering both in-person experiences and delivery or curbside shopping options. Customers have gotten used to being able to get products delivered right to their door. The easier you can make it to buy from you, the more of these customers you can capture.

Being a woman in the business world means fighting for everything you get. There has never been more competition in the global marketplace, and your brand needs to stand out. By adopting some or all of these practices, you will be sure to boost your business and stay ahead of your competitors.
