Public to Decide Wildcard Finalist in the Search for Britain’s Best New Business

September 26, 2010 By WOB

PRESS RELEASE

September 22 2010 – Organised by publisher Sift Media and led by its small business advice site BusinessZone.co.uk, in association with directories business Yell and business software specialist, Sage, The Pitch 2010 visited Bristol, Birmingham, Liverpool, London and Edinburgh this summer.

With five finalists selected through the gruelling series of regional heats, judged by entrepreneurs including former Dragons’ Den judge Doug Richard, only one of the 20 runners-up can go through to the final, and their fate is in the hands of a public vote.

It’s a great chance for one more lucky entrant to have the opportunity to pitch to a panel of experts, in front of a live audience. And the overall champion will win a massive prize package of business products and services worth £50,000.

The grand final, to be held at the Institute of Directors headquarters in central London on 16 November, will comprise a full-day conference packed with business advice, face to face mentoring and high-pressure pitching in front of a live audience.

Finalists will be judged by a panel of high profile business experts including investment guru and Dragons’ Den Online judge Julie Meyer and winner of the first series of TV’s The Apprentice Tim Campbell.
